Penalties for concealed carry without permit?

Begs the question: since a citizen purportedly has the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness - who in this circumstance are the real kriminals?

...As far as the shootings all over your city, you will almost certainly get hit by a stray bullet if you get shot. Probably your not in a gang or involved in drug deals, so they aren't going to target you. And a CCW ain't gonna help you with stray gunfire.

Got any statistics to back the concept that one is more at risk from stray bullets than direct criminal attack?

...The thing that's weak about "I own a donut shop" is that you're allowed to CCW in your own shop without a permit, so why do they need to issue you one? ...Remember, no permit needed to CCW on your own property, or in your own shop....

As I remember it (aka the law), one can HAVE a loaded gun, but not carry the loaded gun...
