As far as I can remember, the Boston marathon bombers used fireworks, not gun powder in their pressure cookers as explosive material. So Lautenberg wants to control ammo reloading components for exactly what reason? Because these components were NOT used to make bombs?

There are few areas that gun grabbers haven't stuck their dirty little fingers in, reloading is one of them. Of course, if you reload your own ammo you are probably a pretty hardcore gun guy. And if that's the case, you have a target on your back.

Pretty sure this is CA law, not federal. Darrel Steinberg is a member of the CA State Senate.....not a federal representative or federal senator.

Its a Federal proposal from Frank Lautenberg D-NJ. If it even gets anywhere there is no moving/running away from it unless leaving the country.

Which makes me wonder where is the end to all of this? Sooner or later a very large population of Americans are going to just tell these asshats to go pound sand with their new laws. At least I hope that happens. How much freedom can they take away before there is a major blow-back?

This "very large population" you speak of really is not that large compared to the the population that wants all the free stuff from the gov. we are out numbered.

And, even those who might stand up have wife's and easy life's so when push comes to shove I would wager most will comply.

Of those left that would be willing to stand will just be made out to be "extremist" and locked up.
