Republicans won't win here because women care more about choosing what to do with their vagina than having a job, people would rather get free money than work for it, people would rather tax others into leaving than not have every social program imaginable.

The people of California are getting the government they voted for. Stop blaming the Republicans for losing because their platform is different than the Democrats and start blaming the dumba**ses that keep voting for Democrats.
I'd have voted Republican in the Presidential election if Romney would have kept his nose out of my vaginal affairs.

Seriously. If Republicans get rid of the gay hate and the abortion/female reproduction hate they'll be a LOT more successful. Those are the two big things keeping them back against the liberals.

you are correct. i was only about 7 or 8 years old the first time around and i never heard anything good about him.

i heard this alot. "when sitting in traffic thank Jerry Brown."

as to what bills he may sign i really can't say at all. hopefully some of the most draconian are vetoed and not overridden by the legislature.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

I've written Jerry brown a couple times with no response. Snail mail and email.

We are doomed if villaraigosa becomes gov. It's unbelievable IMO that he would even be talked about as a governor. The only thing I recall of him doing is potholes (FAIL in my neck of the city), sex scandal, and Hispanic rights.

In regards to 2A he has been a critic of the NRA and also has said he will not wait for Washington to respond.

That is the key for Republicans in California. No so in other areas in the US. There are some areas in the US that the religious fanatics are extremely concerned what you are doing in your bedroom and what you discuss with your doctor.

I think he may well veto the outright, already decided by the SCOTUS ones like yees guns must be locked up at all times, even in your home with you present. That said I think he will pass anything that will take millions of dollars and years of legal action to attempt to overturn.

I hope everybody watched the rest of that first video after the gun section. Ugh! We are so screwed in this state!

Yeah, uh, accepting that which some view as "wrong" and accepting murder. Yeah, that'll get the millions of Christians staying Republican. You'll lose more Republicans than you'll gain.

Pay attention to this post guys.

This is why the US is destined for one party rule at the hands of the Democrats.

The reality of matters is that the GOP stands for conservative principles, and that includes restrictions on sexual orientation and abortion. If the GOP abandons those stances, theyre done like last weeks pizza.

Why?Because they have no credibility among the electorate on gay rights and feminist issues.A Republican candidate who promises pro-gay rights would be greeted with the same skepticism a so called pro gun Democrat would be-in other words, they'd say "yeah right" and vote Democrat.
Since the female vote and minorities are the demographic future of America, the GOP is hosed by dint of cultural change. The party is a typewriter factory in a world moving on to word processing.
The more prohibitions you have, the less virtuous people will be.
The more subsidies you have, the less self reliant people will be.

The 1911 may have been in wars for 100 years, but Masetro Bartolomeo Beretta was arming the world 400 years before John Browning was ever a wet dream.

I'm still of the opinion some may be vetoed, but only on the basis there is a substantial possibility they would impose a heavy financial burden on the General Fund.

Keep in mind there is one thing Brown treasures above all else: his legacy of balancing the budget. This is what he campaigned on and this is the legacy he wants to leave.

Based on the above I would say items such as the bullet button are a slam dunk for Brown to sign but items such as the ammo permits may have a veto chance. It is also likely SB-374 will be modified to create an exclusion list for rifles such as the Ruger 10/22 and Browning BAR hunting rifle to keep the bill out of courts.

He has a whole lot of vetoing to do if he wants to balance the budget, that or a whole bunch more prop 30 tax increase tricks for the sheeple
