    Spreading the word on these 2A impeding legislative actions

    Just wanted to be sure that we are all spreading the word about the impending legislation that we Californians are facing. I was at the range today and no one I talked to had any idea of what was going on with regard to these ridiculous bills being considered. I spoke with a black powder shooter, as well as modern gun owners, and C&R folks and one who wanted a C&R and they had no idea what I was talking about and were a bit shocked once I broke it down for them. We here on Calguns are informed for the most part but many in the shooting community just assume "they would never" "it would never pass" ect. We need to get the word out and stay talking about these issues while at ranges, gun stores, and in general. Information can garner support and action. Stay thirsty my friends!

        Informing Shooters is Essential

        Yes, signed up.
        Also printed the proposed "bills matrix" located at the bottom of the page;
        [URL="http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=737510"]
        Printed State Assemblyman & Senator contact information for my district on a separate page.
        Made copies at the print shop.
        I am currently in the process of visiting every business in my area that sells guns and/or ammo; am providing copies of the above info. and urging the owner or manager to post on the counter in several places and point it out to all of their customers.

          Have talked with a number of people so far; a few were informed, most were completely unaware. One of the rangemasters at the range, who is an NRA member, said he had heard nothing about it before I spoke with him. Another person, working behind the counter at a local gun shop was completely clueless, (he almost blew a gasket when he read the printout).
          Just because YOU know what the gun grabbing politicians are trying to shove down the pipeline, don't assume that other shooters/hunters know.
          I have found that simple, clearly organized printed material is generally well-received.
          We all need to do more than just contact our representatives, we need to educate other pro-gun people so that they will make the same contacts, and the cycle continues.
