no more Big Ben Loan FFL ... (San Jose)

Those of you in San Jose area area may want to know that Big Ben Loan has apparently lost his FFL (and appeal denied). (This was completely unrelated to off-list lowers, AWs, etc. - something about transfer of a 50BMG to a foreigner, don't have further details.)

I'm just passing this info on from someone asking me about other dealers, and I believe it to be reliable info. If someone has contrary information, please update us...

If you were intending to use Big Ben Loan as a transfer dealer for off-list lowers, you'll have to find another FFL.

sheesh, that just burns me up. The owner (Dave?) is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Got four off-listers through him without any problems.

Was planning on giving him some more business, but guess I can't anymore.

I also did a transfer through Big Ben Loan. He was funny and seemed very competent. Hate to see another FFL that supported our rights to own legal firearms disappear. Hope someone can update us on this situation.

Dave is awesome! my buddy/we found this out about a month ago... but didn't want to spread any rumors.

              on another note....
Check out the ATF list of revoked FFL's!

Sort by State and see how many revoked FFL's are from California!!

I went in there once about a year ago and didn't see anything that looked like it was priced right. I saw a couple of used pistols that were priced at what a new one would cost. What did they charge for out of state transfers?
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

This is a major bummer. Dave was a great guy to deal with.

It is a bad thing when we lose another FFL.
