Let us not forget the sacrifices of life ,property and blood to achieve the liberties that to few Anericans will ever bother to read much less appreciate !

To remember is to honor ! I for one will read the bill of rights and the declaration in honor of those brave men and women who fought Royal Blood and won ,for their posterity.

I recall these cartoons from my childhood.

I do not recall who paid for the airtime to run the schoolhouse rock and similar children PSA/ educational series

Those were great and educational cartoons. Given some of the hoplophobic hysterics from public schools these days (such as the pop tart incident and t-shirt with, god forbid, a rifle and NRA emblem suspension) the depiction of guns and resistance to govt oppression sadly may not be allowed... To be clear, horrific acts committed by nutjobs at schools deserve quick assertive and uncompromising response. However, suspension or discipline of students re pop tarts, t-shirts, and facebook pics have nothing to do with that response.
