    moving guns to another state

    Curious-

If I move my guns to another state (Texas or Nevada) for example and never bring them back into this this state but I'm a CA resident do I still need to register them? I mean there would be no way for them to confiscate them. Second question. Can CA residents go to Arizon for example and sell thier guns at a gunshow?

I'll piggyback on and ask does anyone know of any reputable gun shops, facilities, training centers in Nevada or Arizona that will safely store your gun safe under tight security at a reasonable cost? I know people in both states but not sure if I would trust them with my guns.

Not clear if, under new laws, CA owned guns out of state would have to be registered. As you say, probably hard to enforce.

As to gun shows, no - interstate sales - CA resident to other state resident, out of state, must go through an FFL. (CA resident to other CA resident must go through a CA FFL.) If an AZ FFL were at the gun show in AZ, using that business would work.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I'm leaning towards thinking that if a particular type of gun is banned in CA, and not physically present in the state at the time, you wouldn't be required to register it. You should if you intended to bring it back at some point in time though. Bearing in mind I'm not a lawyer, nor have I portrayed on on television, nor did I stay at a Marriott last night.

I'm thinking I might have to make a trip to Arkansas and take all my EBRs and leave them with my brother until I can GTFO to Dallas or elsewhere.
