Shotgun registration?

When I moved here from out of State a few years ago, I brought a pump shotgun, I had owned while over there. I had totally forgotten about it, since it's literally been in a box in the garage since I came here.

2 Part question.

1-Do I need to register it in any way?
2-If I sell it will it be a problem?

I understood that long guns were not an issue, I just want to make sure.
