To Join or Not to Join...

Alright, so this might sound dumb but can anyone give me an argument either for or against the NRA and whether or not I should join? Was thinking about taking advantage of this 300 lifetime deal thats almost up but I am not exactly sure whether or not I should. I make contributions to them every so often but what actually comes from joining other than a 300 dollar magazine subscription?

They are one of the few lobbies powerful enough to represent you when your "elected officials" don't seem to be doing it. Do you think you'll donate 300 dollars or more in your lifetime?

It's now or never (especially here in CA.), they are the biggest dog on the pro 2A side of the fight.

The greater NRA membership numbers the more leverage their argument brings against 2A infringement, and the more money they have to lobby against the gun grabbers on our behalf.

I never thought I would have a life time membership but now I do. For me it seemed like the right thing to do along with donating to Calguns.

While I have been long time gun owner I never felt compeled to support any rights group. Now i feel like our only chance to have a voice in government and fight the radical disinformation machine will come from the NRA and Calguns.

They are the people fighting for your rights, if you don't join and just want to donate, donate to the NRA-ILA. these are the people that fight bad laws and work on getting those laws overturned.

I joined so I can look at my little tiny kids and say I did this this and this when they wanted to **** with your rights after they are old enough to know anything about our great state.

Where else do you think your money will help the 2A rights cause? If you want the largest organization pushing for 2A rights in the nation fighting for you, it's a no-brainer. Take what you have left and give generously to CGF and the SAF also. If you don't, might as well give you moeny to the Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi re-election campaigns.

If you don't join then your part of the problem.

Not the anti-gun people problem but the not doing anything about it, thinking it won't effect me, etc. pro-gunner problem.

Right now it's $25, and you get a bass pro shops gift card for $25, so it's essentially free. Plus you get to help the NRA when they stare down the gun grabbing statists by increasing the number of people they can say they represent.

Just became a Life member and also setup my monthly donation to Calguns. It's the least I could do and we need all the help we can get.

Like others said. Numbers. The bigger the membership number the more politicians listen.
