    Bullet button/detachable mags

Hi I was wondering is bullet Buttons only required on AR15s because I don't recall seeing any other semi automatic rifles with a bullet button? Or are all other semi automatic rifles only required a non-detachable magazine, In California?

Please familiarize yourself with the flowchart. If semi-automatic, centerfire, and any features such as pistol grip, flash suppressor/hider, thumbhole/telescoping/folding stock, forward vertical grip (and/or others) you need to make it a non-detachable magazine arm.

There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

So from the looks of what I read I the flow chart, if I get a tapco stock for my sks, because it has a pistol grip it will be illegal?

But a legal SKS in California doesn't have a detachable magazine, so you are okay.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

you'll be fine under CA laws, but you need to be in compliant with federal 922r law once you change out the original stock with another that has pistol grip or collapsible stock.

tapco has a decent web page on this topic:

personally, I prefer non pistol grip and non collapsible stocks for my SKSes.
