What does the NRA plan on doing to defend law abiding citizens in Callifornia?

All I have heard from them is all about states such as: Colorado, New York, etc. Yet California has proposed DOOMSDAY to all of California and I haven't heard a whisper from them. I am seriously considering canceling my membership.

Right now, the NRA is urging you to donate, to write and call your so-called representatives in opposition to new gun-control proposals, and to donate. Should any of the proposed bills make it into law, they will be challenged in court.

Meanwhile, challenges to existing laws are ongoing in various quarters.

I certainly dont pretend to know but my guess is the best they could do is support legal cases against unconstitutional bills. A complete waist of money otherwise since Ca is now run by Unions who own the anti-2A progressafarian legislature. Too many people in ca want stuff paid for by others to change anything.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

those areas take precedence because they have bills that have passed, so they are working on those. if and when CA bills are passed, then we will be moved to the front burner.

The NRA does have a lobbyist in Sacramento as does the CRPA I think. I'm not sure how much good they are going to do since the CA legislature has already gone full retard and will probably be passing bills to have the word gun removed from the dictionary and to fine people that make gun shaped hand gestures.

The real question is, what are California gun owners doing to protect California? Of all the gun owners I know, and it's a big #, only one is actively doing anything. Very few are even NRA members. It is shameful.

This crap about calling "your representative" is like making sure Michael Moore knows you only want him to pass through the buffet line 3 times. Ridiculous. Someone explain to me how this works exactly? Of course if your representative is a moderate and might be on the fence then maybe. This is a jackalope though. If they are a true conservative then yes, call and remind them how important this issue is but for the rest of us, how would that work?. I dont waist my time calling A liberal who is in a majority liberal district and ask them to vote with common sense and reason. Like with my Michael Moore example, they are incapable of fulfilling such request.

In my opinion Ca gun owners can only do a few things. Be a consistent one issue voter at the local and state level (2A) and a two issue voter at the federal level (2A and who they will likely support for the supreme court) and join the NRA and support the CGF

If this is all you can say, you are woefully ignorant. For starters: you do know that NRA has a paid lobbyist up in Sacramento, right?

The next time you walk past the NRA recruiting booth at the gun show you might want to stop by, ask them how it's going, and then ask what you can do to help. You'll be surprised at how much there is for you to do - but it won't get done if all you do is sit on your hands waiting for NRA to ride to the rescue.

I've been spending a good deal of my free time since 1998 working to save our rights in California and I get pissed off big when some lazy yahoo starts *****ing and moaning about NRA not doing enough in this state, so yes, given your unwillingness to help yourself, never mind getting informed, you should cancel your membership and just stay the hell out of the way.

Yeah, well, at the end of the sessions when Ed Worley puts out the word and we start flooding Sacramento with calls, those same liberal legislatures are out there asking Ed to get us to stop because they're getting so many calls and faxes and emails they can't do business. You may not think it's worth it, but it is important to let the libs know they are not in a majority.
