That's crazy talk, it'll never happen. I guess some of these politicians are just trying to make a name for themselves with tough proposals to increase their popularity among their followers. What a waste of taxpayer dollars to have our elected officials proposing stuff like this...

Missouri is a "free state" & extremely red state. Local & State law enforcement would be suicidal if they were told to challenge gun owners of Missouri for their firearms. Liberals are over-reaching. Missouri isn't New York or California...

i'm from missouri and 99% of my family still lives there.
most are gun enthusiasts, from both sides of the political aisle.
this has a zero percent chance of going anywhere...

IMHO, this bills are not introduced with the hope that they will be passed. What they are trying to accomplish is to distract and divert the attention of people in pro-2nd Amendment states away from the federal battle and the battles in "blue" and "purple" states. The last thing that the antis want is for folks in pro-gun rights states to catch on to the fact that CA and NY are laboratories for new gun laws that will be introduced at a federal level.

"Another Democrat-sponsored bill proposed this year in the state General Assembly would require parents to notify their child’s school if they own a firearm."
So, what exactly would the schools do with this information? Frisk each gun owners kid as they arrive at school?

More like have police present at any meeting with school administration/teachers and that parent. For the safety of the children, of course.
