Well said kenshinoro2007. We have no time for negativity here. Either contribute positive ideas, suggestions and most importantly actions or just STFU...."Americans used to roar like lions for liberty;now we bleat like sheep for security."

Second, most of your representatives already have their minds made up. There are only going to be a few districts where this is going to actually matter. For example I live in Kern County. If any of my representatives vote for gun control, they are done. They might even be recalled immediately or worse. They know this and so contacting them is pointless because they already know where they live and who votes for them. Their vote is guaranteed for our side.
Really the only thing you should do right now is make sure you are in the NRA. Yes the SAF, GOA, CRPA, and some others might be deserving of your support, but the NRA is the organization that is the largest and your mere $35 shows something important: solidarity. You can argue about their effectiveness, but again, one thing is important right now. Having a lobbyist organization that has as many members as possible in it when they go knocking on your representatives door.
Understand we are completely outnumbered in this state. We might lose a legislative battle here. We must fight guerrilla warfare. We stopped SB249 last year. That was a gigantic win for us. We have an uphill battle ahead of us, but we have victories.
We have court cases pending and that might be our best hope for victory.
Just be patient and be ready to take action. Go shooting today. Spend a little of your ammo stash and go enjoy life. Remember why you have firearms and enjoy them. And realize even if they pass these laws, you do not have to comply. You might finally get to practice what you preach.
However, we have plenty to do before then to stop this and it must be done correctly. Right now the anti-gunners are just posturing. Let them. They have a lot of work to do to beat us. Just relax and get ready. We know we will prevail.www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.Comment

There is a time to beat the drums and a time to sharpen swords. Every man has to decide for themselves when to do each. IMHO, It's a bit early to break out the whet stones.

First, there are no bills going through right now. So contacting your congress critters or legislators is pre-mature.

I am not optimistic if I look at only our numbers as our only strength. But I think we have more power than that and the collapse of the national calls for bans show we do. Only 3% of the colonists were in the Continental Army and only 10% actively supported the army. 40% supported the monarchy of King George. Yet the revolutionists still won. I don't think we'll win in California and will lose more ground, but we are winning nationally and that is important. Here I just hope we stem the tide or slow down its encroachment until my wife and I retire and leave.
It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.
