The realities of enforcing CA gun control/policies as presented by CBS

Link to CBS evening new story

A short quote from the story.....

The state has a list of about 20,000 such people with 40,000 guns. But because of budget restrictions, there are only 33 agents to find them.

"A huge backlog right now," said Marsh, who also acknowledged it takes so much manpower. "This type of enforcement is very labor intensive. When you're going after armed prohibited people, it heightens the level of potential violence."

In six years, agents have been seizing guns. They've prevented shootouts by showing up unexpectedly in force, as many as 10 agents.

So this is part of what Wayne LaP is talking about, the fact that the state has not done its job to enforce the laws it has on the books, let alone do a massive sweep of our homes to get all the now presently legal, soon to illegal...guns.

So how many agents do they feel they will need to get us to turn in our deadly guns they are about to outlaw? (any gun with a magazine...pistols, rifles, and some shotguns)

they don't think they will need any because they know 98% of the public will give them up with no fight, and the other 1% can and will be coerced with the threat of force and seizure. Its the 1%'rs, like the Hells Angels that will be problematic.

I hope this backfires on them, because as this story points out they police are really hamstrung due to budgets, and they really can't enforce the laws they already have on the books.

Man, what a lot of angst we are getting, we are the new former Nazi War Criminals it seems like.

OK, now comes the tough guy talk responses...

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
