So I can do a type 1 FFL and a class 3 SOT. What and how do you know what you can legally own, do, and transfer as such? I thought you could only do things like suppressors for demo purposes only to LEO. I didn't know that I could take them to the range by myself.

And thank-you guys for all of the help/info

In CA you can transfer AOWs and C&R SBR/SBS. Your business entity can purchase and possess cans. Only you and your employees can have them in their possession. Taking them to the range to test or demo them is permissible.

Awesome! Thank-you!! Is there a book or website that you would recommend that lays all the legalities out?

I wouldn't count on that for too much longer. The libtard pol's will get around to criminalizing that as well.

Members of the chosen class have access to these safety devices:

I and my wife own multiple suppressors for rifles and pistols. We're forced to store them in Arizona. She has hearing loss, requires hearing aids, and has been explicitly advised by her ENT physician to only shoot suppressed firearms with additionally doubled up hearing protection (plugs and electronic ear muffs).

And yet, here we are in California, where the most basic safety device is prohibited.

Oh they have a way to protect your hearing. They held a press conference outlining it Thursday....

                      I wish you could too!

To the OP, because of Hollywood, the politicians believe that suppressors make every single gun non-audible. They didn't ban them to protect the public, they banned them to protect themselves, they are afraid that if the public had them then they would be sniped at with no sound.
