I personally think he terrifies PM to the point where he won't even ask.

    Sorta like Gura.

He won't have anyone on his show that might remotely be not only right, but able to handle him with a straight face.
    On the Second Amendment:
"'Keep' means they're mine, you can't have them. 'Bear' means I've got some on me, and they're loaded."

Gene could not a word in with Piers. WHY? It's Pier's show and Piers won't let it happen. Ted Nuggent did a good job tonight mainly because Piers had to give him more respect, because he is TN.

I watch PM for 1 minute and I feel a strong need to take a shower.

Piers Morgan would never have Gene Hoffman or Alan Gura on his show. They would crush him in a debate. His tactic is emotional appeal and the people he has on as guests are trolled right into it. Gene and Alan are the biggest thing to happen to gun rights since Thomas Jefferson.

How is it that you always find the most verbose way to say "I am a tool"?

Really? Last i heard SAF was not invited to the political debate. Do they fight? YES! Front lines? Not even close.

Because that Morgan dude can edit the show any way he wants it would be bad for Gene to entertain the idea IMHO.

Here's how I would expect that to go down:

PM: "So Gene Hoffman from SAF/CGF, you really think people NEED AR-FIFTEENS?!?"

GH: "Look, it's a fundamental civil..."

PM: "REALLY? AR-FIFTEENS?? WEAPONS OF WAR? THAT JUST MURDER PEOPLE?? WITH 1000 SHOT CLIPS???? REALLY?????

GH: "Well, look, the bill of rights..."

PM: "AR-FIFTEENS?? ASSAULT WEAPONS OF WAR??? ON THE STREETS??? SHREDDING CHILDREN??? 100 SHOT CLIPS???" STOP LAUGHING SIR!!! STOP SMILING! MURDER RATE! GUN MURDERS! 100 SHOT CLIPS??? AUSTRALIA! UK! STUPID SECOND AMENDMENT!!!" <crumbles paper angrily, and tosses over shoulder> "Our next guest tonight is..."

Nothing against Hoffmang, but I doubt that even he can accomplish much of anything useful on Piers Morgan's show.
                        This. ^^^^

It's pretty presumptuous of you to think you know where we (CCRKBA) are and how exactly we operate.

SAF is a (c)3, by the way.

I'm having a "senior moment" in my 30s.

The hell are you talking about "is a (c)3, by the way"?

Have a feeling it has to do with tax exemption status? Or lack thereof? It's almost midnight and I'm out of coffee, cut me a break!

You're tracking just fine. I did mean [501](c)3, as opposed to other forms of tax status like 501(c)4 which allows for most forms of lobbying.

NRA is a 501(c)4 and the largest member org (and budget) in gun rights - and gets commensurate press.

We (CCRKBA) are nowhere near as large on revenues but certainly "at the table" and in ways other orgs simply are not.
