Read his commentary today and was very impressed.

The gun-control controversy is only the latest of many issues to be debated almost solely in terms of fixed preconceptions, with little or no examination of hard facts.

He seems to understand underpinnings of this issue. We are letting the other-side define the debate, instead of discussing the real problem. Restricting the kinds of weapons, limiting the nuber of rounds, and registration does NOTHING to fix the problem!
