I wish I could be that optimistic. Consider who was enforcing the DC ban for years, clearly contrary to the 2nd amendment. Consider who puts in all sorts of roadblocks to those seeking CCW permits.

Police go into unknown situations all the time when they respond to domestics, how are they going to feel about going house to house to take away property knowing full well that many of the owners don't want to give up their firearms? There may be some (or even many) that comply but it won't be everyone, it would only be a matter of time.

I was just getting ready to post pretty much the same thing, and I saw you had beat me to it. And for that reason, that is why most of the CoP's in this state are liberal as ****. They do what the mayor and city council tell them too.
