They'll meet behind their closed doors, and say "Ok, ok, we'll give on x, you give on y" and continue until we get something closer to what they want, which will be far less than what we have now.

I fully expect to see a ban on high (Standard) cap mags.
I fully expect to see universal background checks for all guns and all buyers.
I fully expect to see background checks/count limits for the sale of ammunition.
I fully expect to see mandatory registration of all guns.
I fully expect to see the mental health services becoming involved in the purchase process. Not just a background but a mental health check as well.

And when it happens, we'll celebrate it as a victory, because it wasn't this abortion of a bill that Senator Feinstein proposed today. We'll feel good because our activictism, stopped the Senator from getting what she wanted.

That's my fear anyway. And I seriously hope I'm wrong.

Yip, much like the mess just handed to the people of NY. The results from compromise. The Bill started out as a full ban and confiscation with police going door to door.

Anyway, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why they would include it. I mean, wouldn't it make sense to omit the insignificant stuff? Wouldn't the odds of it passing be better if it was as streamlined as could be?

Then again, maybe they really all are that dumb.
they hate barrel shrouds because they allow you to accurately spray hundreds of rapid-fire rounds from the hip

          My prediction:

After much negotiation and concessions/promises on many, many things unrelated to firearms, this bill, or a reasonable faximile of it, will pass and we will all be screwed. Those in Congress who currently oppose this POS bill will sell themselves out for threats/promises of appointments, funding, etc.

          I hope I'm 100% wrong.

Exactly! yet some people here (including Gov. Christie) blasted the NRA for a simple, straight forward add which highlighted their Hypocrisy! The left is NOT interested on what we have to say people. They are the smart ones remember!! Never buy the "bright ideas and clever rhetoric" of our current administration. The Progressive movement is NOT willing to compromise anything unless it means they have more control of "WE the People".

Not so fast. Remember we have an imperial President who can make this wet dream come true with a stroke of a pen. He will say its is necessary to "Protect the Children". And millions of clapping seals will fall for it.

It's everyone's fight. The government should not regulate a Right given to all us through the 2nd Amendment. California, is the one worst gun regulating states. IMHO, all CA gun regulations are all pointed at all law abiding gun owners, it does not stop the criminal element from acquiring weapons and operating outside of the law. Plain and simple.

For some reason legislators think criminals get their weapons through a LGS. Am I wrong?

Indiviudals like Yee just want to make a name for themselves with no regard to really who it really disarms. Nonsense legislation will only allow crime and violence to escalate. Example of this, Chicago. If you want to look at something abroad, take a gander at Great Britain, where guns are outlawed, bats and clubs are outlawed as well. And the amount of home invasions has increased.

All the clapping seals watch the news, who by the way, are BIASED. I don't see the flip side, which is people defending themselves and their property. Using a tragedy to pass an agenda is just low and dirty, and represents the scum that is part of the political system.

People, we need to keep up the fight to maintain our right to bears arms. We need to get our voices heard, we can't rely completely the NRA, Calguns Foundation, and others to have our voices heard. Individual owners need to step up, step out, and be heard.
You want to make a difference in getting your voice heard about protecting your right to have a firearm in CA?

agreed. The media ignores facts. They seem utterly unconcerned about facts or about their own lack of knowledge of facts.

These people have never fired a shot in their life, yet do not hesitate to declare how many bullets should be the limit to put into a firearm's clip or magazine. Some say ten bullets and Coumo say 7.

Virtually all gun control yahoos say that 30 bullets in a magazine is far too many for self-defense or hunting even if they have never gone hunting and never had to defend themselves with a gun. This uninformed and self-righteous people is what makes the gun control debate so futile, polarizing and frustrating.

Anyone who faces three home intruders, jeopardizing himself or his family, might find 30 bullets barely adequate. After all, not every bullet hits, not everyone is trained, even at close range not every hit incapacitates. You can get killed by a wounded man or someone under the influence who wont go down after multiple hits.

These plain life and death realities have been ignored for years by people in the media who go ballistic when they hear about how many shots were fired by the police in some encounter with a criminal.

Yet these loons do not stop spouting off about life-and-death issues when they don't have the facts.

there has been many factual studies over the years which prove gin control is counter productive.. But these studies have been like the proverbial tree that falls in an empty forest, and has been heard by no one certainly not by loons on the left who have made up their minds and don't want to be confused by the facts.

Sadly, nothing is easier than to disarm peaceful, law-abiding people. Im afraid our future will get worse before it get's better.

This is her last ditch effort to ban gun. As she realizes that she is getting old and won't last much longer. She's an old hag and not worth any value.
