Ok guys, remember to call your reps. No matter how you think they will vote.

I just called Doris Matsui's office and they told me I was the first one opposed to an AWB.

If she is your rep, her office # is 916-498-5600

Probably a lot of people aren't calling because there hasn't been a bill introduced. When one is introduced and I have more information on it than just the FUD floating around out there as of late, I will call and write a letter with my comments.

They introduced it this morning, hence why I called. Feinstein and the gun ban bozo's were lying up a storm on Cspan.

Matsui is a terrible rep. She orchestrates phone call town halls that are heavily scripted and selectively applied to "callers". She's not going to represent anyone. she's one of the "leaders". That said, redistricting placed me into Bera's district. I can tell he's going to vote for a ban. He's already stated that his years as a doctor have influenced his opinion of guns.

She's a liar, because I know she's heard from me. She thinks following the constitution is "extremist" and keeps pushing people to just blindly support the president without any details of whatever legislation will be proposed.

            (flyingcaveman) -

Barely one month ago, we watched in horror as the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School took the lives of 20 children and six adults.

Stand with President ObamaThis terrible tragedy crystallized the fact that we must respond to the carnage in our communities and in our schools. We must do something to protect our families and children. We must act.

On Wednesday, President Obama proposed the most comprehensive gun safety reforms our country has seen in a generation. His policies would give law enforcement the tools it needs to go after the illegal transfer of weapons and stem the use of military-style guns and ammunition.

Most importantly, they will keep us - and our children - safe.

Please, join me in standing with President Obama to protect our children and communities from the scourge of gun violence.

The President's proposals are a long overdue step toward a safer America for everyone who calls it home. And the 23 executive actions put in place earlier this week advance immediate, concrete protections for all of us until Congress has a chance to act.

However, some are resisting these undeniably necessary reforms. Extremists in Congress threatened to impeach the President for his gun safety measures. And the NRA attacked him as an "elitist hypocrite" after the reforms were announced.

This tin-eared opposition just doesn't get it. Despite the tragedies in Tucson, Arizona; Aurora, Colorado; Newtown, Connecticut; and countless other cities and towns across America, they're content to simply keep the status quo.

            Well, I'm not.

Sign our petition today to let the President know that we support his efforts to keep our children safe and we won't back down from the extremists' threats!

As President Obama said on Wednesday, keeping our children safe is a fundamental responsibility for us all: "If there's even one life that can be saved, then we've got an obligation to try."

            Sincerely,

            Doris Matsui

Yeah you're the first one who opposed it. Bull just like Feinstein saying she's gotten thousands of emails from gun owner who want the ban.
