New York State Democrats had a "secret list" of items they wanted to include in their gun ban legislation. Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin mentions this list during debate of the bill (you can see the reference here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxUaI...ailpage#t=199s ).
Unfortunately, the list wasn't made public... Until now.

The bill originally was going to contain (and, please note.. These are DIRECTLY quoted from the document):
* Confiscation of "assault weapons"
* Confiscation of ten round clips [sic]
* Continue to allow permit holder's information to be released to the public, endangering the lives of legal pistol owners
* Label semiautomatic shotguns with more than 5 rounds or pistol grips as "assault weapons"
