This is correct prior to the musket you had arquebuses that used a lit string to fire. The flintlock was so much faster. I would guess about 2 to 3 times as fast to fire than an arquebus that used a lit cord to fire. The kentucky rifles that the colonist had were also so much more accurate than the non rifled muskets that the British had they allowed hits at much longer ranges. The percussion caps that came out 50 years later were as big as an improvement in fire power as a semi-auto to a bolt action rifle.
So you are right if the internet is protected by the first amendment then surely a semi-auto is protected by the second amendment. Although a fully auto rifle is really more state of the art, but we are not asking that they be deregulated only that semi-autos not be regulated. -
ARMS are for KILLING PEOPLE. Any use of an arm besides killing pekple is an illegitimate use of that arm.
"Assault weapons" are weapons for assaulting people. This is the EXACT same definition as that of "arm"!
The arms that the people have the right to keep and bear are supposed to be maintaining the security of a free state. If the enemies of the state, and the enemies of freedom, have machine guns - and they so - then machine guns are the arms that are best for maintaining the security of a free state, and they are protected for the people to keep and bear!Hunting is a loophole in the 2nd Amendment to the Bill of Rights.
There is no privilege to keep and bear arms.
Arms are for killing people. All other uses of an arm are illegitimate uses.Comment
