Question about the previous AWB and .50 cal rifles

How come the previous AWB was only 10 years? Was it written that way? And on a similar note, can the .50 cal ban ever be lifted in California? Or is it permanent?

It is permanent. It was not written with a "sunset clause", like the Federal 1994 ban. The Federal one was written that way to get it past the republicans in the House/Senate. As we all know, there are very few republicans left in CA government, so there is no need to a sunset clause there were, are and always will be more than enough votes for gun bans in CA.

We need more laws like that.

          Asked and answered.

CA's AWB is another on the list of priorities below '2A applies to the states, yes, we mean YOU California' and 'self defense is good cause for a carry license'.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
