New Gallup poll on gun laws, care to guess which side is the majority now?

    Pleasant surprise.

"Still, more Americans are either satisfied with current gun laws, 43%, or think they should be loosened, 5%."

I search to see if this was a repost, but I didn't find anything. I am sorry if it is.

Those wanting stricter laws has shot up from 25% to 38% since last year. Not so promising to me.

Frankly, and sadly, that poll is meaningless.

Most people have no idea what gun laws currently are, so they have no business commenting on whether or not they should be changed.

This is true, but if you look at the poll that was taken in Dec. of '12, the number of people who want stricter gun control has fall 20 points in 19 days.

With 43% vs 38% neither side has a majority. That we are at 43% now is not so bad.

Those are the hearts and minds we need to win over. They change their opinions like the wind blows in other directions.

Talk about an open ended poll question "Do you want more gun control?" Yes, no.. I dont even know what type control they're referring too, background checks? Limited cap mags etc...??
Hell, if they'd asked me if I wanted more gun control I would have said yes. Course in my case it would be because I am starting to flinch when I shoot the big calibers!!

This close to Sandy Hook, and with the level of demonization by both CNN & friends, and Obama/Feinstien, I'm surprised it went this well for us. As time goes by, say 6 months from now, the trend will only move more in our favor.
