The kinds that screw to the buttstock are OK for OAL.

The kinds that slip-on (like pictured) are iffy at best. It needs to be "attached" (law does not define "attached").

Check to see if your buttstock has some screws. If it does, remove said screws then screw them in back through some holes you make in the limbsaver. Then use glue (blue loctite) to keep the screws in.

The stock does not have screw holes from videos i have seen. What if i zip tied it on temporarily until i found a factory spacer? still not advisable?

depends on how comfortable you are with the word "attached". I don't think locktite or epoxy is needed as AK users don't need to pin on muzzle extensions (assuming they already have a 16" barrel). on my PS90, i had both a fake can extension (allen screw attachement) and buttstock extensions that were bolted on. I think you need at least something to secure on the limbsaver so it can't just fall off. IANAL so i'll leave it up to someone who knows more to give you the proper advice.

I would make something that you can attach to the slot on the buttstock to make it 30" OAL.
