A buddy picked up a NDS receiver there in early '06. I wonder if I should tell him to be prepared for a visit?

Earlier comments indicated that the only information taken was on the owners of the rifles they actually seized.

I may be wrong on this, but I think this is a new Sheriff. I
believe Bob Doyle left for a job up in Sac not long ago and
this is a new guy. Ah yes, here we go..

Isn't he suppose to consult with the DA first to make sure the DA will pursue with the case?

as i was driving away from bsp this morning an unmarked with a uniform and a marked with 2 uniformed in it rolled up, was driving off but looked like they were going to bsp. can't confirm as lost sight in my rear view.

then i go out to lake mathews to see if i can find the range out there and see a marked riverside cruiser out on those dirt roads ... jeez

i'll be calling first thing monday morning. shot off an email as well, i'll be sending them a few more.

BATF is almost always involved if the case involves an FFL.

I noticed in the press release that there is no mention of charging them for importing AW's. So did the cops just not think of that or do they really believe they were imported in legal configuration and then reconfigured to an illegal configuration at BSP?

12280 (a) (1) PC covers Importing and Offering for Sale, so as far as I can tell he's getting shafted with that one too.

AK-47 knockoffs are popular in the assault rifle market, in part for claims that gas-operated original models are capable of firing up to 600 rounds a minute on full automatic. But such weapons are not legal for most Americans, say gun control proponents who feel there is no reason for hobbyists to own such potentially-destructive guns.
Why do they always bring up this 600rd per minute full auto CRAP!

Looks like the sheriff's department has a "Let us know how we are doing" Feedback Forum.
