Mike Thompson chairing the congressional task on reducing gun violence

It seems like we need to voice our opinions in a respectful manner to Mr. Thompson.

Someone who believes in the AW ban and ban on "assault magazines".

A few personal comments on Rep. Thompson. His office has always been very good on responding to emails, until I emailed and asked if he was in agreement with Eric Holder not responding to the Oversight committee's request for F&F documents. Suddenly communications went dead,no response at all.

It should also be remembered that Mike Thompson walked out of Cpongress in sympathy with the Black Caucus following the vote to hold hold AG Holder in contempt.

He is a wine country Liberal, that is his majority base. Don't expect him to do anything but follow the liberal anti gun agenda. He will however try to dress his actions up as "reasonable".
The Constitution is there for a reason, Use it!!

This is what I just left for him:

"So you want to spend our money on the assault weapon ban that the US GOVERNMENT allowed to expire because it was ineffective? Can you explain to me how banning "assault" weapons (a ban on how a gun looks) will reduce crime this time as it was proven to have zero effect last time? Also what effect will banning a weapon used in only .2% of all gun crime accomplish?"
