I don't think that's a 30mm from the A10. Those suckers are huge. I do believe that's a 30mm from the AH64 chain-gun.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero -
The dollar bill pic is the A-10 ammo casing. Just to clarify, the A-10 fires the 30x173mm like my Mk44. Apache fires the short 30mm. There is a drastic difference in size of casing and projectile. The casing of the small 30mm ends over an inch below the taper of the larger 30mm round.
I have belts and casing from both rounds at my desk. The concern I've seen is that if the rounds were purchased/acquired for a government-paid activity they remain property of the gov. If the company purchases and fires rounds for IRAD, then there is no restriction on what to do with the casing.Last edited by mooster; 02-28-2008, 1:14 PM.Comment
