    Good article IMHO.

    Standouts:

The assailant in Colorado used a now-legal superhigh-capacity magazine — a 100-round drum. These devices, which look like shallow oil cans (picture the iconic "tommy-gun" from prohibition days) are actually less deadly than the most lethal clips — ordinary high-capacity magazines (in, say, the 30-round range) — because they almost invariably jam, as did the Colorado assailant's.
    deadly
If we were to prohibit the manufacture and sale of blue Honda Accords (an excellent vehicle, no doubt), then there would almost inevitably be a reduction in the number of deaths caused by blue Accords. The relevant question, however, is whether automobile deaths overall would go down — which under this limited example, they seemingly would not.

another factor many simply do not understand about these 100 rd mags is the weight factor alone makes them highly impractical for all but static operation and use.

i read one account of a user who abandoned his 100 rd mag: "It was so heavy, when fully loaded, it would not stay in the gun; it would drop out of the mag well..."

i am a legend in my own mind...

we are told not to judge muslims by what a few do...yet, the NRA membership and firearms owners are ALL considered as radical...

If u create a gun bill the public goes on a buying frenzy. Simple psychology. Pay attention government don't try and ban anything !!!

But....gun control is alive and well in California, and here for a long long time. The vast majority of serfs(voters) in this state love it too.

Good article. It makes the case--from a non-gun-rights-advocate point of view--that "gun control" can't really save anyone from being murdered with guns. I wonder how many people will read it.
