I say choose Prop 196 but 195 or 179 may work equally...we aren't even executing anymore anymore so I would speak of how these props hold any weight given less deterrence of death. Talk about the stats of crimes this legislation (prop) was trying to target, if it played on people emotions (should we have even been voting on it in the first place), and statistically since that date is there an correlation between a rise/drop in drive by's and the death penalty... my hypothesis is that drive-by's are down (as are most firearm related crimes over the years it seems) and so are executions in California so it was probably a waste of everyone's time in the end and was probably feel good legislation to some degree.... although in the end I can't say how many bad guys intent on shooting up a rival thought twice about what they were going to do and were like 'eh homes... we bes' not do tis cuz dey jus pas't dat nu prop dat mean we may get the death penalty in 30 years for doin' 'dis gangsta $--t'. More effective legislation for a social experiment might be we only execute people that commit murder Fri-Sun... alas I digress...
