Calif. Legalities: selling to out of State buyer

Which of these (if any) are legal under California and U.S. federal laws (I don't know myself). For the sake of simplification I am ignoring State laws of other States (not California).

    If for instance:

    1) I own a California legal long gun, examples: bolt or lever action hunting rifle with deer hunter style stock, automatic or pump shotgun with duck hunting style stock. I want to sell it by online auction or online classified ad to out of State buyer. Can I just make the deal and then take my gun to an FFL for him to ship it the buyer?

    2) I own a California approved handgun (on the approved list), same question as above.

    3) I legally own a handgun not on the California approved list, same question as above.

    Thanks, folks.

As long as the firearm is being shipped to a FFL...
    1) Yes
    2) Yes
    3) Yes

    FYI.
There is no requirement to ship a firearm from a FFL dealer.
But, there is a requirement that the shipped firearm needs to be received by a FFL.

quiet beat me to it. there's a common misconception that it must be shipped and received by an ffl. you can ship it yourself. it must be shipped TO an ffl.
