I'm glad to see this as well, but I found the comments more entertaining than some of you, those anti gunners got their asses handed to them by one educated poster.

I like the take away from the article - "I don't have the answer, but it seems like gun control isn't it." Is my interpretation.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

Ben Stein himself was actually the victim of a robbery at gunpoint while pulling into the driveway of his Beverly Hills home a few years ago...later, when asked by TV reporters if he had anything to say on the air about the gunmen, he actually said "he wanted to THANK them for not harming him"...I'm sure it must've been quite a traumatic experience for him, so to actually come out and say what he did had to take quite a bit of courage

After what he went through I gotta give the guy a "high five" for still being intelligent enough to tell it like it is

Definitely give credit where credit is due. I know a person who was the victim of two armed robberies and she associates the gun with the act, not the person. It's very easy for someone to fall into the mindset that the gun was the threat. To this day I cannot get her to be in the same room as a firearm.

are you effing kidding me. the only amendment in the bill of rights that does not apply to the people is the second one. does that tool really believe that garbage.
Wasn't it nice of the founding fathers to write the Bill of Rights (for the government) to protect the government's rights? It would have been easy to presume that just having a standing army/navy and nuclear weapons would ensure their ability to protect such rights, but you never know.

We must always remain vigilant. The government faces a serious threat from the people. Who is going to fight for the government's rights?

I'm not for vigilante law enforcement. But I am also not for government disarming everyone but criminals.
That's a good line, I might use that
