"Outdoor News" article "Small Town retaliates Against Knee-Jerk Firearm Ban"

Nice article. The people of the small town Townshend, Vermont responded quickly and in numbers to reverse reverse a ban on firearms in "town owned" buildings. "http://www.outdoorhub.com/news/small-town-retaliates-against-knee-jerk-firearm-ban-in-record-time/?utm_source=iContact&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign =Outdoor%20Hub%20News&utm_content=August+17%2C+201 2+Radioactive". I don't know how to post the link.

          As it should be everywhere...

Vermont has some of the most open firearm laws in the nation, and no permit is required to purchased rifles or handguns, firearms do not need to be registered, and citizens may open or concealed carry without a permit. More importantly, the state’s firearm laws preempt local restrictions – restrictions just like the one in Townshend. It’s hardly surprising that in a state with such strong Second Amendment protections that a ban would be met with fierce resistance before it even had a chance to be struck down.

Good example of the "few" forcing a policy initially. This seems to be a common thread here. Great exmple of the "many" fighting back and educating the "few". It gets annoying to see something that bothers someone affect everyone like the issues with firearms, hunting, dog breeding and showing, to the color you can paint your house. I would really like to see a place where people focused on fixing their own life and learning to be more accepting of others way of life.

Yes, there must be a lot more violent crime there. But wait . . . .
