He may be a good guy, but I'm not sure how to interpret the word "reasonable" in the sentence. There really shouldn't really be any wiggle room here.

"reasonable" is included to give him wiggle room in case some nut-job on the other side wants to claim that he is for teflon-coated, heat-seeking, explosive-tipped, cyanide-laced cop-killing bullets being sold on school campuses, or something else crazy like that. I know it makes us all nervous when they tack phrases like that on to responses, but that is politics. You don't make 100% statements unless you like eating crow come the next election. Besides, his actions seem to support his stance. At this point, I would consider him to be the least of our problems.
