    Federal Lawsuit, Civil Rights Violations

    Folks,

I would like to work with other calgunners, our legal team, NRA, SAF and other Gun Rights Organizations to file suit against California. The government of the State CONTINUALLY, HARASSES, gunowners with new confusing laws that are there to simply rob people of their rights of Liberty and Property. THIS NEEDS TO STOP. A2

I'm unemployed, but willing to get in... I wish I had funding for such things.
Hunting is a loophole in the 2nd Amendment to the Bill of Rights.

There is no privilege to keep and bear arms.

Arms are for killing people. All other uses of an arm are illegitimate uses.

I am probably naive for bringing this up, but I'd love to say screw all this crap about bullet buttons and handgun rosters and just go straight for the jugular and sue California for barring me from exercising my 2A right to self defense to the same extend people are allowed to exercise it in most of the other states, something along the lines of "aren't all people created equal?". But I guess that's just not how it's done or whatever. Anywho, what do I know. Nothing. Exactly.

I don't think you can sue the legislator for proposing laws. I am not a lawyer though, so maybe you can.

As far as the laws already on the books, "we" (Calguns,SAF,NRA,more) are already suing over nearly all the gun restrictions on the books. Those suits will take another

Won't fly. There are people working very hard to strategically dismantle the infringing gun laws in CA. These people include Gene Hoffman, Alan Gottlieb, Alan Gura, Brandon Combs, Don Kilmer, Jason Davis and others. If there were more skilled lawyers we'd be doing even more.

Free-lance lawsuits should coordinate with the above, like Gray Peterson has done. We give money to CGF and SAF because we believe in them and trust them to create and execute our strategy.

Got it. I am just flabbergasted that it has to be so difficult. I mean "all men are created equal" isn't exactly interpreted differently from state to state which is why I am frustrated that in contrast it's apparently ok to do so when it comes to 2A.

Oh, but it is interpreted differently here. If you work for, or feed off of the system, then you are praised and treated as a better person. If you are a free thinker, and independent, and don't need, or want the government to hold your hand, then you are cast aside, and ridiculed for being so stupid.

Something like 40% of Yees district are folks who primarily read Chinese and they vote a disproportionately high percentage of the time.

This 'dirt' would need to be something culturally important to the Chinese community. They really don't care if a rich older guy hires prostitutes.

It would also need to be translated into Chinese (correctly, not google), and have the appropriate leaders approve of it before it gets distributed throughout the community.

The older generation of Chinese folks mostly don't care about guns either, but the younger crowd that has not yet 'discovered' politics do like guns. We may see a huge demographics shift in the SF area politicians over the next decade as the younger 20-somthings crowd start voting regularly.

                    Federal Lawsuit

                    Guys,

The work that the everybody is doing is fantastic. BUT WE AS A GROUP have been singled out, targeted, by these people. They are violating our rights, with continual legislation that is not for the public good. I am not just pissing in the wind here. When a minority group is getting hassled by the Government in power, there are forms of redressing the harassment. We enough evidence on Tweet.com just from Adam Keigwin statements to show what the intentions of these people. Yees back pedaling, ENOUGH. A2

Nowadays you don't shock anyone anymore. Unless you come across something that is worse than screwing around and having children out of wedlock and then trying to shut up the mistress with campaign money after falling out with her all the while your wife is dying of cancer. I mean we've had senators that drowned chicks in their car and presidents that poked cigars into intern's private parts on the oval office desk for god's sake. Honestly I don't think anything under child porn is gonna do it so unless something like that comes up out of nowhere let's leave the person out of it and focus on the politician.

Thank you for a very interesting view of the potential future. Perhaps there is hope coming, if we can hold out long enough.....

Those 20-somethings are also very interested in first person shooters and thus firearms.

If you have younger nephew, cousin, etc. that is a gamer, take them shooting.

This^^^ but being politically active and coughing up money to the cause is really needed now... tight wads open up that wallet.

What day is it and what infringement is being imposed?

The issue here is that we can't sue to strike that which hasn't been enacted yet. As such, we're explaining the legal situation to the legislature so they can actually honor their oath to defend the Constitution, but they will not sense few of them have read it recently.

So enough foolishness. Until Governor Brown signs SB-249 we can't sue anyone about it. Should he sign it, that changes quickly and there are lots of reasons why we're kind of excited about how dumb our opponents are. They're so dumb that 249 as currently drafted dies in Federal court before we can get to the real issue that the 2A protects semiautomatic firearms with detachable magazines and pistol grips.
