    Purchasing ammo for a friend

I was wondering, can I purchase ammo from my credit card and have it sent to a friends house? Is this legal? Wondering because I fall in those areas that don't allow ammo shipped to my zip code. Tried to search but didn't know what to type. Thx.

EDIT: One more thing. I will be sending it in his name. I also plan on taking some of the ammo. Is this fine?

      Yup. Legal.

Also note that most vendors don't use zip codes to block delivery areas. For example: you can live in unincorporated Los Angeles and receive ammo as long as your address doesn't have "Los Angeles" as the city name.

Many credit cards will only let you ship to the billing address to prevent fraud, so you may have to call your credit card ahead of time.

You can ship it to my house as long as you don't mind a few boxes "lost in shipping"

You can also have it shipped to a generalized pick up area. I had to do this. Had it shipped to UPS in S.S.F.

Yup, perfectly legal. This is how all group buys happen. My brother and I go halves on ammo all the time. We live in different cities, none of which are restricted areas. My orders have a seperate billing and shipping address. Only so someone is home when delivery is expected. I hate waiting an extra day and a 30 min drive to the nearest UPS Facility.
