The LA times is just a liberal rag. Too bad Los Angeles doesn't have one real newspaper.

No way it is the NRA. Everyone knows all they do is take your money, send you junk mail, and screw over Commiefornia gun owners

Or could it be that Americans can finally see that all these dumb azzed laws do nothing to keep bad people from doing bad things??

If anyone has ever doubted the effectiveness of the NRA, this is proof they have what it takes. The media and anti-gunners are in an uproar over Colorado, but no legislators want to step up and do anything about it because they are scared of us. The NRA is working, but they are only as strong as we make them. We need to start pushing everyone to join.
Thank you. Join up and be counted. I have been buying NRA memberships as gifts all year. I got at least half a dozen so far. I think you get a big return on a measly 25 buck investment.

Perhaps she would be useful in proposing a term-limit bill instead of failing with the same type of bill "for many, many years."

I thought it was a good article. Pointing out:

            1) The NRA doesn't contribute big $$ to non-federal elections,
            2) They can "mobilize" 4M+ Americans,
            3) Nearly 1/3 of their contributions go to DEMs.

            Good stuff...

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.
