I have a family member that was dropped from a felon to a civil addict. Is there a way he can regain his gun rights?

I would think he should do a Live Scan and request a copy of his criminal record.
That would tell a lot. Unless he already knows and has the paperwork.
I'm reasonably sure that's what an attorney would want to see.
Then there's always the Personal Firearms Eligibility Check.

Under present DOJ SOP, he's going to get delayed on a DROS. Best to find out first.
