SB 249 Question

There are 2 other threads that address this.
From my understanding. If you make a featureless AR and use a normal mag release on it, then those parts are considered a conversion kit. I'm not 100% sure if they will be considered a kit while still on your featureless rifle or if it's only when it's broken down.
However, there will be new language out Friday that may change this or clear it up. So all were doing is spinning our wheels. -
Well just wait to see what's changed Friday. He may make it to where owning the normal mag release is legal, because of featureless guns. There was a post that his office said they are specifically targeting the mag magnet and anything else that can defeat a bullet button. I just hope the language doesn't cover raddlock. I'm sure it will but I can dream.Comment

Mag Magnet
[QUOTE=67400hb;8822645]Hopefully they don't target the mag magnet because I have a lot friends that love using theirs. That would suck if he sucks if he targets the raddlock since that's a unique design[/QUOTE
SB 249 is a direct result of people doing s... like this!Comment

As you said, "in the state of CA". So they may actually be travelling in and out of CA and using the Mag Magnets outside of CA legally. I'm not a fan of Mag Magnets because there are idiots out there using them illegally in CA (and for that matter there are posted photos of idiots using suspiciously illegal-looking rifles in competition). However, there are legal ways to use the Mag Magnet."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

wow, just wow -- this isn't even close to being established fact. would it kill you to not go around spreading FUD until there's some sort of consensus about exactly what the real-world effects of this bill would be?
and so yee and his anti-2A allies win, and you haven't even forced them to go through the trouble of passing the bill.
build your rifle the way you want, OP -- that's your right..Comment

He's just basing it on the analysis given by a CGF attorney. I disagree with the analysis but it is a potential worst-case scenario.wow, just wow -- this isn't even close to being established fact. would it kill you to not go around spreading FUD until there's some sort of consensus about exactly what the real-world effects of this bill would be?

Is that a fact now? Last time I checked a semi-auto rifle with a pistol grip needs a bullet button.
While I agree that should be a right, it couldn't be farther from the truth in California.Last edited by Dantedamean; 06-26-2012, 4:30 PM.Comment
