    Help with contacting representatives

Hello, anyone get those NRA emails that ask us to contact our reps, and ask them to oppose certain bills? Then the email provides links to the reps and the Bills. I have no idea how or who to contact. The NRA says contact them all, but when I try to email reps on the links, I am not in their district. I can find out who is in charge of my district, but that person is usually not on any of those links sent to me. Sorry I am not very political, but I want to try as much as possible to help preserve what 2nd amendment we have left. Can anyone give me advice on contacting the right people for the right bills?

    Thanks

Find out who the rep for your district is, and than get the number to their office. Call and ask for an email address, or check their website. Google solves all of this. Good luck

You can call Reps that aren't in your district. You can also send faxes and snail mail. They serve on Committees that impact your life. They need to hear from you.

I like to use the carrot/stick approach. If they vote your way, you'll tell all your friends and family what a great person they are. If they vote against you, you'll do everything in your power to make sure they're never elected to anything ever again. You'll phone bank, walk precincts, etc.

Of course, empty threats won't get you far.

        See http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/yourleg.html

I have always found the 'you are not in my district' thing annoying; the laws those turkeys pass affect the whole state, so input from anywhere should be welcome.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Absolutely I agree 100%. Seems like they make it confusing so they don't hear from us. Thanks for help guys.
