I got a present from California!

I've been re-redistricted! I am now represented in Congress by Dan Lungren. He's not nearly conservative enough for me ( only a B+ rating by the NRA, for instance) but he's light years better than Doris Matsui who was my representative previously. I was surprised and pleased on election day when i discovered the change! Any comments on Lungren?

Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

Lucky you. I have been redistricted to Maxine Waters district. Oh well. Janice Hahn or Maxine Waters, makes no difference, they both vote the same on gun rights.

Isn't Dan a RINO and he doesn't support the 2A too much?

Gun-Ban Dan was one of the drivers behind California's scary looking gun ban. How that fanatical anti-2nd Amendment statist managed to get a rating above "D" is beyond me but he's a rabidly anti-2nd Amendment.

God what a choice - dumb as a basket of fresh steaming cow turds or socialist with a record of steering public money and bank bailouts to family.

                      Ah, how soon people forget.

Dan Lungren is utter scum on every level. He also helped the Sheriffs of Sacramento County in their war against Police Chief Eugene Byrd of Isleton back before 1998 when police chiefs could (in theory) issue CCW to anybody in their county. Byrd set up a "permit mill" operation, with trainers all over the county and otherwise doing everything right in a shall-issue fashion. This took money away from the Sacto sheriffs who were selling permits under the table for big bucks. Byrd's fairly priced permits were a threat.

Dan Lungren as state AG joined the war against Byrd, doing all sorts of horrible and illegal things to him and his permit process. BS investigations, freezing his background checks, etc.

In the 1998 governor's race it was Gray Davis vs. Lungren. The California NRA sat that one out. NRA HQ in Fairfax VA wanted us to jump in on Lungren's side for his "pro-life" stance. The California NRA Member's Councils system revolted in disgust and this led to a bunch of "Christian Conservative" types being de-loused in Fairfax.

Upshot: Lungren isn't just anti-RKBA, he's pro-corruption. I'd rather have an honest yet anti-RKBA Democrat in there instead.

You guys got it wrong. Think of it this way.....now as a legitimate constituent, you can now call her office and demand as a voter in her district that she support your 2A rights. I'd make it a monthly thing.
