I've never understood this argument that blames one state for supplying guns to criminals in another. If it's so easy to illegally acquire guns in a certain state, wouldn't you expect to see domestic criminals in that state using the guns at higher rates than the interstate criminals?

And of course they're still including suicides in their figures, as though people who want to kill themselves will really be affected that much by... what exactly? How could anything other than a perfectly-enforced total ban remove firearms from the presence of potentially suicidal people?

This is getting very old and completely refuted already. VPC is not a research organization. All their "statistics" tell us, is how far they'll go, to push their anti-Second Amendment agenda.

Yea, suicides and justifiable homocides are lumped in there. Prescription drug interactions kill 100,000 people a year. Hospital medical errors kill 195,000 per year.

Here's another thing to think about; while the statistics say that there are more gun deaths than those cause by motor vehicles, gun deaths include suicide, justifiable homocide, and shootings involving peace officers.

It could be asked of the VPC whether they would rather have dead police officers if it meant fewer people were killed with a firearm...

Out of the 31,000 deaths or so only 11,493 are homicides. So you can decrease those stats by 63%.

Even better, Di-Hydrogen Monoxide, the greatest killer. Present a spin, use some unfamiliar words, and it will sound scary enough for some of our guys to try and ban it.
