    Hollow points

New and back for more abuse from Oregon.

hollow points are legal there due to crap like the attached link.

I figure some legislator hoodwinked the rest claiming hollowpoints were armor piercing, and therefore cop killers.

    makes no sense.
No charges will be filed in the deaths of two men who were shot at a tailgating site after a Detroit Lions game. Prosecutor Kym Worthy says it's a case of self-defense.

Is there a point to this? I see no mention of ammo used in the story. Oh and hollow points are widely available here too.

The point is two guys got shot with one bullet. One being an innocent bystander.

hollow points are illegal in CA. They ought to be legal and for stated reason. Takeaway learning from the mistakes of others.

What? Where do you get this?
I can point to a law in NJ making HPs illegal. Where is the CA law?

Hollow points illegal in NJ? Does that include hollow points used by competitive shooters?

Hollow points are NOT illegal in California. SF tried to ban them many years ago but that got tossed in the courts.

Since when are hollow points illegal in CA? You need to double check your sources.

You just know some much that just isn't so.
                    Are you a democrat?

California does not impose a statewide ban on hollow point ammunition for civilians, but local restrictions create a complicated legal landscape.

Understand California’s laws on hollow point ammunition, including possession, purchase, and transportation regulations, as well as potential legal exceptions.

Oops guess I had that wrong. The gun registry is new, however. May I ask how difficult the red tape is in LA County to get a carry license? Trying to get things all legal & in a hurry.

This is going to be a problem.
I have heard the wait is many months.

Currently, looking at all those who've been getting their recent permits, it looks more like 2 years on average. Absolutley terrible.

Curious if a Hollow Point could get through one person and still kill a second. Let alone from a handgun.
