Without serial numbers, how do they ever think this is enforceable? Then they will demand every barrel is serialized? No manufacturer is going to take that additional cost burden... they will just cut off CA from the market.
Just another avenue to cut off availability in CA. Not Crime, not violence, just more control.

Always remember, while complete civilian disarmament is the intrinsic goal of all California politicians, it seems as if its a state mandate to humiliate, hassle, and disrespect California gun owners along the way as much as possible. That's what bills like this are for,
they serve zero legitimate purpose other than to hassle us and piss us off. That's it.

Many manufacturers, in particular European ones, are already serializing frame, barrel, and slide on pistols. The additional cost burden is minimal.

It will be enforced at the time of sale. There is no law that says that existing barrels have to be serialized after the fact.

Pretty soon the slide, trigger and magazines will both require a serial number and background check.

Yup. That's always how Kalifornia has done it. Death by 1000 cuts.

I heard that this bill was put into suspense. No action on it. Is that correct?

It was placed on the committee's suspension file due to the fiscal impact. But the hold can be easily lifted if the members vote so.

People are saying it's off the suspence file and now it's getting voted on.

It has been amended a few times, now requires an eligibility check (aka ammo eligibility check) at $5 per.

Did it pass the Senate and signed by Newsom?

Just goes to prove that California's politicians are evil commies.
