I think its awesome that your Mom got you a lower, nice job on the build!

My Mom bought me a Colt Ar15 Sporter for $376 new back in 1975 and gave it to me for my 18th birthday/high school graduation present. She knew I was planning to buy one that summer from my job prior to college as I had been eyeing them the summer before while making deliveries at a local shop.

She was a great mother/grandmother and lady, I sure do miss her. That Ar15 is 5 feet away from me as I type this (r.a.w.).

Thanks for all the support guys! I'm glad my mom gave me the opportunity to be able to do something like this. Otherwise I would have had to wait till i was 18. Also I would encourage more responsible teens who like to shoot to build their own ar's, it really is a rewarding experience.
