KQED blames AA homicide rate on gun trafficking

Short blurb on KQED news this morning, mentioning an new VPC report and assigning blame for the high homicide rate of CA African-Americans on gangs and gun trafficking into CA.

KQED provides public radio, television, and independent reporting on issues that matter to the Bay Area. We’re the NPR and PBS member station for Northern California.

Does anyone have hard data on where street guns are coming from? What are the percentages for smuggled, straw sales, and stolen? I imagine an alleged trafficking problem could be used bolster arguments for wide-spread registration.
Being pro-gun rights in the Bay Area is like being a vegan at an Outback Steakhouse. You know you're right but nobody gives a damn.

I don't have any data, just a statement.

I thought the problem was the flow of guns OUT of CA to the cartels? Now it's into CA too? hehe...

/snark/ So, now, the evil guns not only kill people, but they are "Race Specific"?

How do those evil guns know the ethnicity of the person they're shooting?? /snark/

Not only are the evil guns racist, but so are the evil gun owners. Everyone know that all gun owners are banjo-loving, moonshine swilling, country-bumpkin racists.

Destroy this "report" with a single question: if the problem is down to gun trafficking, why is it the black community that is suffering the most?

I'm sure BATFE and the local LEA investigating those homicides could give you that data. But they only seem to want to share it with Bradyites, Bloombergers and the VPC.

Lots of stolens, some straw sales is pretty typical.

Oh so it's the ease of killing someone that causes someone to murder? That's the premise here. Ridiculous.

Probably easier to murder someone with a screwdriver than using a loud and scary gun.

Regardless, it's not ease of committing murder that makes people commit murder.

As ever, the libtards fail to acknowledge ( or cower from the fact) that it is the morally bankrupt culture of the ghetto that allows killing to be so easy.
The concept of responsibility is just so alien to the NPR/PBS crowd

I'd actually like to see a study from a group that doesn't have ties to any pro or anti group.

Was there a study several years back, showing 19 out of 20 blacks killed, were killed by blacks? I remember that one got shoved under the rug, because it did not fit the race profile agenda.

Personally, that strikes me as a very racist statement. Black people somehow turn into murderers when merely given access to firearms. It's not like other socioeconomic factors could be at play.

Liberals can't be racist because they're fighting for the rights of minorities. They are speaking for those disenfranchised minorities who don't have a voice, so they can't be racist. Only those who disagree with them are racist.

I don't see it as a race thing. But it could be a culture thing where certain ethnic groups adopt and foster certain attitudes.
