I watch FX and Fox News and the UFC, but this is the kind of thing that's going to turn me off to all of the above:

I don't know if it really means they have an anti-RKBA agenda. It really may just be a business decision.
So if I were planning to sell ad time on TV to "ACME Roadrunner's Armory Sales" I probably don't want to have their competitors being touted on-screen.
Or maybe they figure viewership might suffer?
I just don't know. But maybe it really does bespeak a bias - but I don't know that.

The UFC made a decision to not allow gun/knife companies to advertise.
BFD - When was the last time you saw ANY gun/knife ads on ANY channel other than gun/knife specific programs...?
Get over it - It's a non-issue....

When fighters and their sponsors have had a relationship for years, only to be undermined by MSM and corporate cowardice, then I have a problem because this is AMERICA, and I can choose to say something about it. So raise the capital -
Buy the UFC -
And change the policy.
THAT's the American way -
Not complaining about it.
Remember the "Winston Cup" races...?

In the end the UFC exists to make money.
They didn't used to have rounds. Two guys just fought it out until it was over.
I loved it but that proved to be boring to a lot of people. People didn't want to pay for PPV to watch two guys rolling around on the ground trying to get a submission.
I'm sure UFC management has to consider which ads (either shown during the programming or printed on a fighter's shirts and shorts) will attract or offend viewers.
No viewers, no UFC. It's that simple. I wouldn't make it sound like a political agenda.sigpicNRA Life MemberComment

While yes, we can all acknowledge that this is a business decision, the problem is they are propagating and legitimizing anti-gun culture. I guess I would rather not have UFC be one of the first large-audience media to start advertising with guns and knives though...member: Electronic Frontier Foundation, NRA, CGF

The UFC is a pay per view based company, so the gun sponsors aren't going away. They are only going away on fox broadcasts.
Also, who actually thinks any main stream media/corporation isn't biased? They are a business first and foremost and therefore have their own agenda.whatComment

Also, most of the fighters are extremely respectful and demonstrate sportsmanship after pretty much every fight, the only examples coming to my mind right now of anything bad are Lesnar after pummeling Mir at UFC 100 (or 101) and Paul Daly pucnhing Josh Koscheck after the bell which earned him a permaban from the UFC.
Combat and competition is part of life. Self defense is a natural thing. A sporting event that promotes discipline and training in something as positive as the martial arts is the PERFECT PLACE to not only promote responsible firearms ownership, but for people to understand that a gun should be the last resort and that the mind, then the body should always come first."It's easy to be hungry when you ain't got $h!t to lose..." As life long martial atrist and UFC fan, I find that statement to be full of fail. The UFC, is safer than most other contact sports by a mile, WAY less dangerous than other combat sports. If anything the refs are too quick to jump in at times. But they err on the side of safety.
