Help with Standard Cap. Magazine Q. Thanks for the assistance.

Here's the deal. My father is ex spec ops operator. With that being said, my upbringing wasn't typical to say the least. Long story short, I was a expert marksman with a 22 lr by age 7. 243, .270, 556/223, 30-30, 7.62x39, .308 and 30-06 by age 10.

By my 12th birthday I was extremely proficient with 9mm handguns by multiple manufacturers. A damn good competitor in 5 stand with pump only shotguns, many times using security (less than 20") type shotguns. To this day I've only shot a semi-auto shotgun once. I remember the first time at the shotgun range when my dad put me up against these 4 ol' timers with +$2,000 guns and little ol' me comes steppin up with nothing but a rem 870. Placed 2nd my first time at bat. Not bad for a 12 yr old with a pump. Looking back now, not bad at all.

Along with firearms training of course came physical training. Started freestyle wrestling when I was 6. Wrestled all throughout middle school and high school. Post high school, as expected of me I followed my fathers footsteps, got a contract at 17, with parental consent, with a USN recruiter, and trained my *** off in order to make it in BUDS.

My BUDS class, started 260 finished in 261, had no graduation, I think we were the 2nd or third class after NSW got rid of BUDS grad entirely. Now BUDS grads just go on to the next phase of training, SQT. Currently at 26 yrs of age, I am out of the military, own 2 businesses, a purty' truck, dual sport bike, a nice little 12 ft aluminum setup for duck season and fishing/diving the bay/harbors, beautiful amazing wife, amazing dog (who's basically my son)....ect..... I think I'm doing alright.

Long story short, when I was about 12-13 yrs old my father gave me a few dozen ar mags and ak mags, well before Jan 1st of 2000. All >10 rounds. After so much frustration with CA laws as well as much confusion, am I able to use these mags with newly acquired ARs or AKs. Same question for Sig 226/228 and Glock 21 mags, gifted to me before Jan 1st of 2000. Thanks for the assistance and opinions fellas... HOOYAH!

Thank you for your service. That said, if your rifles are configured to be featureless, you can use your mags.

The handgun mags are no problem.

Spaceghost is correct. Use the semi-auto ban flowchart (AW ban flowchart). Rifles should be featureless WITHOUT a bullet button installed.

I wouldn't doubt the potential benefits of having "CalGuns Flow Charts" on hand in certain situation. I will print these out. Thanks stix.

I did have another thought. You might want to print out the penal code that covers high cap magazines and keep it in your range bag. Might prevent a headache, some officers believe just having a high cap mag is illegal, when clearly that is not the case according to code.
