    Pistol Bayonets, legal in California?

I want to get the LaserLyte Serrated Pistol Bayonet. Is this legal for me to have? Want to make sure before I order this.

I'm sure I will get a lot of responses such as "Why would you even want this?" Just a novelty.

I am not aware of any law making such an attachment illegal in CA. I understand they are pretty readily available at various gun shops and apparently sell well. Of they were an issue I suspect it would have come up here before.

I can't think of any law that makes these illegal.

Strikes me as silly, but that just means I won't be buying one.

Nothing illegal about owning or buying a fixed blade knife, nor attaching it to a pistol horizontally.

Although be careful carrying said pistol/knife combo concealed in public. The knife makes it a felony, even if you have a permit to carry the gun.

If you attach it to the pistol, you can pretty much leave it at home.

You cannot carry it concealed without it being a felony (concealed dirk or dagger).
You cannot carry it openly unless you meet one of the open carry exemptions.

Nearly 15,000 posts and you don't back up you statement with a citation to the Penal Code? If it is illegal, quote the relevant PC, or admit to spewing forth BS.

There are no state laws that makes bayonet/knife installed on any type of firearm illegal in CA.

This is a much more tactful response than what was going through my mind so I'll give it a +1

I just hope the rails on the knife handle are weaker then the ones on your handgun. Would totally suck to snap your rails off playing around with that. I have to +1 Librarian too.

It's California's way of allowing us silencers. Yay
