US government policy is to wish for more gun laws

I guess it is official government policy to advocate for new gun laws. VOA is fully funded and operated by the US government.

A Year After Lawmaker Shot, Gun Sales, US Violence Remain High

But since then no major new gun laws have been passed, and handgun violence continues to claim more than 30,000 lives every year.
US Congresswoman Giffords survived January 2011 massacre that killed six, but no major new gun laws have passed since the attack

It's part of the problem that it's a government policy to want more laws in total, as well as maintaining the absurdly bloated level of laws we already have. There is no less than 356,000 pages of federal laws and regulations. How in the flames of hell do we need or even want that?

30,000 annual deaths from "handgun violence" figure is completely bogus. There are about 30,000 deaths attributable to ALL firearms in America annually, and half of those are suicides (according to the CDC).

It's what anyone should expect from a government-run news source: lies.

Well, you know, "children" could also encompass <18 year old gang members killed in gang shootings too, but that counts as "children" in their stats.

OVER half of gun related deaths are suicides. Brady's "children" include 25 years and younger. That's right: 25.
It doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.

How much ammo do I need? Enough to last me the rest of my life, and then lot more for later.

The government does not come knocking at your door. It comes knocking down your door.

Because death by handgun isn't violent

The Police, DA's and Judges want more laws. It's good for "business". California's Roberti/Roos and SB 23 are perfect examples of laws that do nothing except create more Felons for the "business".

Well, when you think about it, you're really only an adult when you hit 25! That's when your auto insurance rates go down and you can rent a car with no real problems... YEP!

Have you ever heard of a DA or CLEO claim a law is too restrictive, or that an existing law should be abolished?

Aren't government-funded gun control studies going to get permanently defunded?
